XAVIER KNOWLEDGE CENTRE

With computer and information technology expanding and edging its way into every work activity, it has become essential to be conversant with this science. Aware of this need, the College had set up a Computer Centre to exclusively cater to the computer education of its students. This was introduced as one more, amongst the varied extra-curricular programmes conducted on the campus.

In the year 2006, St.Xavier’s College felt the need for an expanded Computer Center, to cater to the needs of its 4500 students and faculty. With the help of the UGC “College with a Potential for Excellence” grant, the college has set up the Xavier Knowledge Center with the active cooperation of Dr.(Fr.) Arun D’Souza S.J., Dr. Jehangir B. Mistry & run under the able direction of Professor Kevin J. D’Cruz.

Besides conducting the university courses, the college has its own up-to-date computer courses at very nominal fees, which are self financing and aim towards increasing computer literacy and proficiency. The computer training would enable students to work confidently with computers at their respective domain of work.
